Owner/Operator
A graduate of Ohio State of Cosmetology 1976, I was a stylist at Town & Country Beauty Salon for five years. My husband and I built our home in Peebles, OH in 1981. At that time, I opened Shear Magic Styling Salon in the basement. For the past 41 years, I have been working with great stylists, but most of all have a great clientele. We have a unique home comfort feeling to our salon, but at the same time work really hard at staying up on the latest trends and techniques in our industry. We take great pride in offering products that are used by us on your visit to the salon and have them available to purchase to ensure you achieve that same look at home! Being in this industry for almost 4 decades, I truly enjoy trying out the latest things that come along to keep me up on what people desire for a new look! I get excited to try a new color technique on a client who’s willing to try a great new look for them. We’re a Paul Mitchell Signature Salon. We’re offered training to use those products in the most efficient way to give our clients the newest and updated hairstyles.
Diane Lacoste
I’ve been styling hair for 4 decades., accomplishing perming, hair coloring, teasing, and roller sets. I also do big hair, blow dry cuts and styles duplicating the styles of various top-rated celebrities. Each year I attend workshops and classes to keep up with the newest techniques in haircutting and hair coloring. It helps to work with people who are young, creative, and want to be good at what they do
Kamryn Craft
Kamryn is a managing cosmetologist who’s been working here for 8 years. She went to school at Paramount Beauty Academy in Portsmouth, OH. She enjoys spending her free time with her son, Kanon and husband, Max.

Whitney Newman
I’m a 2005 graduate of Peebles High School, a 2007 graduate of Shawnee State University and a 2008 graduate of Eastern Hills Academy of Hair Design. I have been a Managing Cosmetologist at Shear Magic for six years now. I’m a certified I-link extensions professional through Donna Bella Hair Extensions. I also am a certified Keratin Complex Smoothing Professional. I enjoy using modern dimensional coloring techniques and modern up-to-date cutting techniques. I pride myself in taking one on one time with clients to decide what’ll best benefit them and their individual looks.

Emma Geeslin
I graduated from North Adams High School and I attended Paramount Beauty Academy in Portsmouth. I specialize in coloring, cuts, updos and weddings. I love enhancing everybody’s beauty one hair appointment at a time and I can’t wait to meet new people and start my journey here at Shear Magic.
